
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The total number of point of sales (PoS) transactions in Saudi Arabia reached 2.4 billion during the first quarter (Q1) of 2024, with sales amounting to SAR 167.1 billion, a recent report issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) stated.
SAMA’s monthly bulletin showed that the total volume of PoS sales registered SAR 59.6 billion in March across 809.4 million transactions.
E-commerce transactions carried out through Mada cards hit 263.2 million in Q1-24, with sales worth SAR 44.4 billion, compared to 237.1 million transactions in Q4-23.
Meanwhile, the number of e-commerce transactions using Mada cards touched 95.5 million in March, with sales estimated at SAR 15.8 billion.
